The Hedonist

Functions: introverted induction, introverted nihilism, extroverted deduction and extroverted spirituality

The hedonist leads with introverted induction and is consequently always seeking something that is consistent with their own desires. This is combined with introverted nihilism to suggest that such a desire is fundamentally physical. Therefore they may use extroverted deduction to logically ascertain what, where and how to find the objects of their desires. Extroverted spirituality then makes them feel blessed and lucky or cursed depending on whether or not they are satisfied at that moment.

Shadow Type: Sage

The hedonist will become grandiose and entitled when they are cut off from their familiar sources of pleasure. A cynical sage archetype begins to emerge. They express that everything around them seems ugly which leads them to a sense of despair. They may then become reckless, desperate and take greater risks in an attempt to win back what they have lost.

Conscience Type: Healer

The healer lets the hedonist know that there is meaning and pleasure to be taken in giving as well as receiving. It allows them to think tactfully about how they share pleasure with others. This allows for a more empathetic view of others. People appear fragile and in need of just as much enjoyment as hedonists themselves do. This empathy opens up a whole new world of pleasures to the hedonist.

Aspirational Type: Gambler

The gambler encourages a grandiose and entitled hedonist to strive harder for the the things they desire. It teaches the hedonist the value of risk and reward. This helps the hedonist get out of their comfort zone and find things that may offer more pleasure than that which they already possess in the long run.
